Oluseyi Awodele, M.D., M.S.

“I have been a military physician for most of my career. I have seen a lot of functional marines and sailors with chronic Fatigue, Depression, Anxiety, TBI, and PTSD who didn’t seek treatment because they felt physically strong or didn’t want to take medications due to their operational status. I have also witnessed close friends report exhaustion and near helplessness due to parenting their child with learning difficulties. Witnessing first hand their transformation after receiving MeRT treatment made me a believer in its effectiveness.”

Dr. Awodele is a residency-trained and board-certified Occupational Medicine Physician. Dr. Awodele earned his undergraduate degrees in Physiology & Neurobiology with a focus on Neuro-Physiology. Furthermore, he has over seven years of medical expertise in Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Aviation & Aerospace Medicine, and Preventive Medicine.

Dr. Awodele has extensive experience with our Veteran community and has served as a U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon since 2016. During his time at medical school, Dr. Awodele participated in Traumatic Brain Injury research at Harvard Medical Institute and Walter Reed National Military Naval Medical Center. Specifically, Dr. Awodele worked with soldiers returning from the Afghanistan and Iraq war fronts, using advanced methods of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). In doing so, Dr. Awodele identified biomarkers of brain biochemistry that could potentially distinguish between those soldiers suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and those suffering from a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI).

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Awodele earned his medical degree from Howard College of Medicine and completed a Transitional Year Internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He then proceeded to start his military operational tour. During his time in the military, Dr. Awodele served as the U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon for Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 (HMLA-169) and Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 764 (VMM-764). Dr. Awodele served with distinction as the Flight Surgeon for the Special Purpose Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Pacific for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Dr. Awodele then continued to complete his residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, where he also earned a Master of Science in Environmental Health Sciences (E.H.S) with a focus on toxicology.

Spencer Miller, M.D.

“MeRT is a novel treatment that I personally have watched transform so many lives for the better with little to no down side for most patients. I do not know of any other treatment with such tremendous power to improve the human condition.”

Dr. Spencer Miller is a board-certified Neurologist and is affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center where he specializes in Stroke, Headaches, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Seizure. Dr. Miller is also associated with the Texas A&M Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and also spent five years in the US Air Force where he had first hand experience with soldiers suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.

In 2018, Dr. Miller went to California to learn more about MeRT and experience his own program first hand. After completing his individualized protocol, Dr. Miller noticed that he was able to think more clearly, was no longer depressed, felt less anxiety, and noticed drastic improvements in his sleep quality. Dr. Miller also reported that his family and loved ones started to notice his changes and comment on his demeanor and elevated moods.
